Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 16, 2026 · Last updated: October 21, 2026
1. The short version
We collect your email, your edition choice and basic technical details needed to run a newsletter. We never sell any of it.
2. Who we are
GiggleByte is an independent project based in Florida, USA. Questions? Email hello@gigglebyte.ai.
We publish The Safe Click, a free weekly newsletter, in three editions: Teens, Parents and Seniors. Our service is intended for people who live in the United States.
3. What we collect
What you give us
- Your email address.
- Which edition(s) you picked (Teens, Parents and/or Seniors).
- If you reply to one of our emails, we see your name (if your email shows it) and your message.
We don't ask for your address or phone number.
What's collected automatically
When you sign up, Kit also records basic technical details: your IP address, the date and time, and the page you signed up from. Our emails use standard tracking to tell us whether an email was opened and which links were clicked, so we know what's useful. Our website host keeps short-term server logs, including IP addresses, for security.
Our website itself doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. It remembers your "View as" choice (Teen, Parent or Seniors) only in your own browser.
4. How we use it
- To send you the edition(s) you asked for.
- To understand what readers find useful, using open and click rates.
- To answer your replies.
- To keep the service secure and stop spam and abuse, including keeping records that show you asked to sign up.
- To comply with the law.
5. Who helps us
- Kit (kit.com) stores your email and sends the newsletter. Kit handles your data on our instructions. Read Kit's privacy policy.
- Vercel (vercel.com) hosts our website and keeps the short-term server logs described above.
If we add any other tool that handles your information, such as analytics or a survey tool, we'll list it here before we turn it on.
6. Sponsors & affiliate links
Some Parents and Seniors editions may include sponsors or affiliate links. We never share your email with sponsors. If you click an affiliate link, that store may set its own cookie to credit us for the referral. Their privacy policy applies on their site.
The Teens edition never has sponsors or affiliate links. We always label sponsored content and affiliate links clearly.
7. What we never do
- We never sell, rent or trade your email.
- We never share your email with sponsors.
- We don't track you across other websites.
8. Kids and teens
The Safe Click is for people 13 and older. Children under 13 aren't allowed to sign up. When you pick the Teens edition, we ask what month and year you were born. We use that answer only to check your age on the spot. We don't store your birth month and year or send it to Kit.
Teens edition sign-ups must confirm by tapping a link in a confirmation email before anything is sent.
If you're a parent and think your child under 13 signed up, email hello@gigglebyte.ai and we'll delete their information.
9. Your choices
- Unsubscribe: every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Update or correct: you can update your edition choices with the link at the bottom of any email, or email us to correct anything.
- Delete: email hello@gigglebyte.ai and ask us to delete your information.
- Do Not Track: browsers don't have a common standard for this signal, so our site doesn't respond to it differently. We don't track you across other websites.
10. How long we keep it
We keep your email while you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we keep only your email address on a do-not-email list so we never email you again by mistake. If you ask us to delete everything, we'll do it within 30 days, and you won't be able to be re-added accidentally.
11. Security
We use reputable providers, limit who can access subscriber data, and use two-factor login on our accounts.
12. Links to other tools
We link to and review tools made by other companies. We don't control them, and their own privacy policies apply. We tell you what we find when we look, but always check their settings, especially before letting a child use one.
13. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date, and tell subscribers in the newsletter. If we ever want to use your information in a materially different way, we'll ask first and won't apply the change to existing data without your OK.
